Scholarships: Guidelines

7th International Conference on Urban Health Scholarship for Scholars from Lower and Middle Income Countries

APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 31, 2008

The goal of the ICUH 2008 Organizing Committee is to ensure that there is diverse representation of urban health scholars from low and middle-income countries who would not otherwise be able to attend this conference. Unfortunately scholarships are limited and we encourage interested delegates to obtain funding and also try to get support through local organizations and supporters whenever possible.

There are two registration categories for this program:

a) Supported Attendance: participants will receive one full pre-paid registration to attend the conference and a scholarship of up to $1,500 CDN in travel-related costs with the requirement that you stay at one of the program hotels; and

b) Scholarship Attendance: participants will receive one fully paid registration to attend the conference and budget airfare, and up to three nights' accommodation at the program hotel, and other approved travel expenses covered by the ICUH 2008 Scholarship Program, up to a maximum of $3,500 CDN (which includes registration).

Receipt of all registration forms will be acknowledged. Logistical information will be sent to attendees via e-mail. Regrettably, the availability of financial aid cannot be guaranteed to all applicants.
